Fred Bear (ver 2) by Ted Nugent From: [email protected] Date: Apr 3rd 1998 The intro; Part 2 in this song for me, is kinda tricky to play the way Ted does it. He picks the A string with a pick and the B and high E strings with his middle finger. I found it easier to use my thumb to pick the A string instead of a pick. The problem with this is that the verses and chorus requires strumming with a pick and I end up fumbling for my pick when I need it to play them. Try to learn it using the pick method if you can. All of the notes in the second part of the intro and verses are played very quickly and each note that is played is quickly deadend by the next note played. The only notes that are to ring are 3 notes in the second part of the intro that I will identify with the letters (ri) after each note. Also, all of Intro;Part 1 rings. I'm going to tab the intro, verses, chorus, lead rhythm chords and end of the song where Fred talks. I've never really tried to learn the leads but I think they're played in D minor Pentatonic or mabye D of Ted's world I'm not sure. Help me out if you know it, I have alot of stupid attacks. Walk soft and shoot hard.
