Blue Skies by Thomas Apartment Song: Blue Skies Artist: Thomas' Apartment Albumb: Synchrony A relatively unknown band, with catchy songs and riffs, bright future for them as well. This is one of my personal favorite acoustic songs, but the tuning is very confusing, as well as laborious if you're a frequent guitar player, who hates to change tunings and slap on and off the capo. The writers of this song were unique in a way that the song doesn't fit a very good There are verses, but the entire song seems to be very hard to structurize. My tab will it in order, bear with me. The end is quite confusing, because the song itself has an orchestra playing the main as well as the bass and drums. If you listen carefully, and try throwing in 16th strums on end of each measure on the Ending, you should be able to get in rhythem. If all else the chord still sounds good, try improvising and working with what chords are given. They have a lot of solos, but not very complex. I wrote out the harmonics and the first at the First Ending, the rest are simple notes, try experimenting with those as well. Here we go. ~~~~~~~~~~ Tuning: Half Step Down (Eb,Ab,Db,Gb,Bb,eb) Capo: Second Fret This tuning is what Thomas' Apartment uses, but if you want, you can just capo the first fret and use standard tuning. However, I learned it with the half step tuning, and I'll tab it like so. They came from above, The winds of change, Destroyers of home, The clouds of pain... Oh.... ooh oh oh oh.... Oh.... ooh oh hoo oh oh.... No, no no no, no oooh... When all is lost, Don't be afraid, Just look up with hope, and praise. When the rain stops, the sun will shine, The rainbow will appear, When you're alone, just cloes your eyes Imagine how things used to be, One day, a ray of hope will clear the clouds, And you will see blue skies, And you will see blue skies, And you will see blue skies, Blue skies... You will see, You will see, You will see blue skies... You will see, You will see, You will see blue skies... You will see, You will see, You will see blue skies... Someday... Hey... Hey.... Uh huh... someday. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Footnotes: 1*)First repeat doesn't have this harmonic 2*)On second repeat, there's a slide on the final note, so the 2 isn't played 3*)There's a hammer up and off on the D string, 0 to 4 Enjoy!
