I sometimes even find myself playing this version of the song, and it still sounds amazing. I took the liberty of re-tabbing the hole song so its it power chords. Copy and paste the link to it. One big thing is when it says to play two riff's together, if one ends before the other, either hold the last note or don't play at all until the other ends. The abbreviations (CR2, MR1, ect.) are riff's, if you look next to the names of the riff's you will see what the abbreviations stand for. The song is supposed to be played with two guitars, playing everything, but this is the way my band plays it, and it is less easy to screw up and better sounding, in my opinion. Also Guitar 2 doesn't have as much because in my band my Rhythm Guitarist also sings, but you can alter it an any way you see fit. The outro riff is played untill the song fades on the CD recording, and I only have it the way I do in this song as 1 option. Just like the guitar parts you can alter it anyway you need to, to fit your band. One more thing, the outro solo is to faded for me to tab so im srry, but if you want it you'll need to buy the book because I havnt seen it anywhere on the internet. In order to figure out the speed listen to the song and it will all be easier. This tab sounds 100% correct, but if you find anything wrong let me know. Please rate and comment, I'm an experienced tabber and usually don't mess up so this should be ok. Good luck, and have fun playing an awesome Metallica song ROCK ON! Also the lyrics are written bellow just in case you were wondering. Lyrics: Verse 1 - Make his fight on the hill in the early day, Constant chill deep inside. Shouting gun, on they run through the endless gray, On the fight, for they are right, yes, by who's to say. For a hill men would kill, why they do not know, Suffered wounds test there their pride. Men of five, still alive through the raging glow, Gone insane from the pain that they surely know. Chorus 1 - For whom the bell tolls. Time marches on (on, on, on...). For whom the bell tolls. Verse 2 - Take a look to the sky just before you die, It is the last time you will. Blackened roar massive roar fills the crumbling sky, Shattered goal fills his soul with a ruthless cry. Stranger now, are his eyes, to this mystery, He hears the silence so loud. Crack of dawn, all is gone except the will to be, Now they will see what will be, blinded eyes to see. Chorus 2 - For whom the bell tolls. Time marches on (on, on, on...). For whom the bell tolls.
