Anyone familiar with Julia Nunes and her work will know that one of her most
used instruments is the Ukulele. This particular album features both Ukulele and
Acoustic Guitar pieces. Here I will clear up how to mimic the Ukulele sound on
an acoustic or classical Guitar, for anyone without a Ukulele instrument.

The best way to immitate the sound of a Ukulele on an acoustic or classical Guitar
is to place a Capo on the 5th fret. You now have a Ukulele! This works because,
much like the Guitar standard tuning is EADGBe, the Ukulele standard tuning is
GCEA, as there are only four strings. Now by playing just the highest four strings
(the original xxDGBe strings on the Guitar) this is the easiest and closest way to
mimic the sound of a standard tuned Ukulele.

This not only means that you have an impromptu Ukulele, but you can now finger
the chords identically as you would if you were actually playing a Ukulele. In this
online guide, I will show the Ukulele fingerings for each chord used, taking into
consideration the Capo on the 5th fret. If you have a Ukulele, feel free to follow
along with the same fingerings, only ignore the Guitar Capo. With that said, enjoy
this little online guide.

Hello, what's your name, how are you?
G D C

 VERSE 1:
   E F#m A B
Difference of opinions keep us apart
        E F#m A B
But that won't take you out of my heart
      E F#m A B
I think that you're funny, and I think that you're smart
          E F#m A B
And I think it's even cuter when you say that you aren't

 TRANSITION 1:
E - F#m - A - B (x2)

 VERSE 2:
E F#m A B
I saw you across the room
      E F#m A B
We never really spoke but still I knew
      E F#m A B
That you and me were meant to be
E F#m A B
  Close if not romantically

 TRANSITION 2:
E - F#m - A - B (x2)

 CHORUS 1:
C#m Aadd9 E5 Emaj9
And I've tried hard, to prove that I am strong
C#m Aadd9 E5 Emaj9
But you know, and I know, that I've been wrong
          C#m
And we talked for a while with our opposite styles
         Aadd9
And I thought it might work if only for a while
     E5
Together we make such uncomfortable sounds
      Emaj9
You open your mouth and I'm laughing so loud
C#m Aadd9
  See I can talk forever
  N/C
  Except when it counts...

 TRANSITION 3:
E - F#m - A - B (x2)

 VERSE 3:
E F#m A B
  We don't write notes anymore
        E F#m A B
But that's alright, I've gone through this before
        E F#m A B
It's been three weeks since we have spoken
     E F#m A B
And look at me - my heart's not broken

 TRANSITION 4:
E - F#m - A - B (x2)

 CHORUS 2:
C#m Aadd9 E5 Emaj9
And I've tried hard, to prove that I am strong
C#m Aadd9 E5 Emaj9
But you know, and I know, that I've been wrong
C#m Aadd9 E5 Emaj9
And it's not fair to blame this all on you
                     C#m Aadd9 E5 Emaj9
'Cause we all got reasons for doing the things we do
C#m Aadd9 N/C
But I gotta tell you, I'm not... amused

 TRANSITION 5:
E - F#m - A - B (x2)

I left you in the dirt behind me
E F#m A B (E)
You'd do the same thing if you were me

 BREAK:
E - F#m - A - B (x2)

 VERSE 1:
          G Em
If you were the ground beneath my feet

I'd find a way to float, or just walk so gently
          G Em
If you were a star in the night sky

 CHORUS 1:
        G D Cadd9
They pushed me around, but they haven't knocked me down
    G D Cadd9

The dark won't make me sad, though I'd miss you

I'll make shadow puppets and I'll laugh
                              Cadd9 A7
Because I know you'd love it, and I'll cry a little too

I guess everyone's asleep; wonder why I'm still awake?
           C Cmaj7
I could fall asleep right here with my hands under my head

There's a body in the stairwell, call the cops; I think she's dead

 CHORUS 2:
             A Bm11 E7sus4 E5
  I'm going out
             A Bm11 E7sus4 E5
  I'm going out
             A Bm11 E7sus4 E5
To get my mind off you
                    A Bm11 E7sus4 E5
And I'll have a drink or two

 BRIDGE:
    A* Asus4 E7sus4 E5
Cross my heart, cross my eyes, cross my fingers; hope to die
   A* Asus4
Bury me with the friends I've lost
E7sus4 E5 A E D D9 Em7
They say that pain is the cost of... love
    A E D D9 Em7
Of love (No-one said this would be easy)

 VERSE 3:
      A Bm11 E7sus4 E5
I knew it had to happen soon, just sucks it had to be with you
       A Bm11 E7sus4 E5
The songs that I once sang for you, I still sing them though the meaning's new
A Bm11 E7sus4 E5
Roles reversed and then press play, can't think of any thing to say
     A Bm11 E7sus4 E5
But how many times can one heart break?

 CHORUS 3:
             A Bm11 E7sus4 E5
  I'm going out
             A Bm11 E7sus4 E5
  I'm going out
             A Bm11 E7sus4 E5
To get my mind off you
                    A Bm11 E7sus4 E5
And I'll have a drink or two

 OUTRO:
    A* Asus4 E7sus4 E5
I used these chords once before, an unfinished love song
             A* Asus4 E7sus4 E5
  'Cause I adored a boy
               A*
  But not any more...

Well, I bet you thought that I forgot about our deal
              A

            D
I'm just trying to keep it real
          A
And I know I lost the bet, but I haven't lost you yet
           D
And if drinking lemonade for the rest of our days

 CHORUS 1:
         G E N/C
Would save you, you know I would do... it

               G D
You should know that I love it when you sing
           G D
But I'd love it even more if you'd stop hitting things
     G D A
Regardless, I'd be heartless... without you

 TRANSITION 3:
A - D (x2)

 VERSE 3:
           A
Well, I haven't yelled at someone in a pretty long time
           D
And the last time that I did, I regretted it
 A D
I can't wait 'til senior year, when I will live in constant fear
          A
'Cause you'll act like a zombie, and slobber all on me
        D
You know that I hate it, but I wouldn't trade it

 CHORUS 3:
      G E A
For any asshole you don't... like

           G E A
For the rest of our afterlives

If you have any questions regarding anything in this guide, feel free to message
me over here on Ultimate Guitar. I'll try and respond as quickly as possible, and
I'm more than happy to help out if I can. Any corrections may also be messaged to
me, but I have done my best to double-check (and triple-check) everything in here.
But, there's often that pesky little mistake that seems to stick out like a sore
thumb to everyone else, although I never noticed inputting the data wrongly.

Lastly, the content here is as correct as I can get it. I've tabbed this out in
the manner which Julia performs it; if you prefer to perform it different then
that is absolutely fine. However, 100% accuracy cannot ever be ensured, but a good
90% of the content in here certainly is.

Thanks for reading guys, I hope this proves useful guys!
