Dublin Blues (ver 3) by Guy Clark

--Guy Clark is the man.
--This is the title track from the Dublin Blues CD
--Townes Van Zandt also cut a version of this song.

--Nothing fancy-
thanks LFabela you did a great job on this tab,
just wanted to add the chords in all places to make it easier
to follow. I play this using a quick change trigger
capo on the second fret, just covering all the strings
but the first string (low e) to achieve a modified
drop D tuning. So I can play it using standard tuning.
Saw Guy Clark do this in a youtube video.

D G(add5) D
I wish I was in Austin
      A
In the Chili Parlour Bar
         D
Drinkin' Mad Dog Margaritas
         G D
And not carin' where you are

D G(add5) D
But here I sit in Dublin||
      A -i
Just rollin' cigarettes
D
Holdin' back and chokin' back
      G D
The shakes with every breath

CHORUS:
A
Forgive me all my anger
   D
Forgive me all my faults
        A
There's no need to forgive me
      D
For thinkin' what I thought

   A
I loved you from the git go
     D
I'll love you till I die
   A
I loved you on the Spanish steps
     G D
The day you said goodbye

D G(add5) D
I am just a poor boy
          A
Work's my middle name
         D
If money was a reason
            G D
I would not be the same

D G(add5) D
I'll stand up and be counted
          A
I'll face up to the truth
          D
I'll walk away from trouble
      G D
But I can't walk away from you

CHORUS:
A
Forgive me all my anger
   D
Forgive me all my faults
        A
There's no need to forgive me
      D
For thinkin' what I thought

   A
I loved you from the git go
     D
I'll love you till I die
   A
I loved you on the Spanish steps
     G D
The day you said goodbye

D G(add5) D
I have been to Fort Worth
            A
I have been to Spain
            D
I have been to proud
           G D
To come in out of the rain

D G(add5) D
I have seen the David
              A
I've seen the Mona Lisa too
             D
I have heard Doc Watson
              G D
Play Columbus Stockade Blues

CHORUS:
A
Forgive me all my anger
   D
Forgive me all my faults
        A
There's no need to forgive me
      D
For thinkin' what I thought

   A
I loved you from the git go
     D
I'll love you till I die
   A
I loved you on the Spanish steps
     G D
The day you said goodbye

D G(add5) D
I wish I was in Austin
       A
In the Chili Parlour Bar
         D
Drinkin' Mad Dog Margaritas
         G D
