Ashes Of Eden (ver 2) by Breaking Benjamin ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ASHES OF EDEN - Breaking Benjamin ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tabbed by: Hunter E-mail: nah Guitar 1 Tuning: C tuning (C F A# D# G C) Guitar 2 Tuning: C tuning (C F A# D# G C) Guitar 3 Tuning: Half-step down (D# G# C# F# A# D#) Guitar one plays the main melody. This is the only guitar I can make out in the recording. I think everything else is orchestra instruments but fear not for I have tabbed Guitar two. These are the chords played throughout the song and can be played at the same time as Guitar one for a pretty sweet duet. I included Guitar three which are basically the same chords but in a more easily accessible tuning. Enjoy! ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Guitar 1 (echo effect): Verse (0:00) c |-------7------------7-----------7-----------7------5------| G |-----8------------8-----------8-----------8---------------| D#|---------------------------0------------------------------| x4 A#|---------------------------------------0------------------| F |----------------------------------------------------------| C |--0------------8------------------------------------------| Pre-Chorus (0:48) c |-------7------------7----------7--------------7-----------| G |-----8------------8----------8--------------8-------------| D#|----------------------------------------------------------| x2 A#|---------------0------------------------------------------| F |----------------------------------------------------------| C |--0-----------------------8--------------8------------10--| Chorus (1:12) c |-------7------------7------------7--------------8----7----| G |-----8------------8------------8--------------8-----------| D#|--0-------------------------------------------------------| x2 A#|---------------0------------------------------------------| F |----------------------------------------------------------| C |----------------------------0--------------8--------------| Repeat all sections, then play the Pre-Chorus 4 times (3:00), then the chorus 4 times (3:48) and end on the D# (4:36). ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Guitar 2 *This is the best option if there is only one guitar able to play. Verse 1 (0:00) Cm9 G#sus2 D# A#sus4 c |------3---------3---------3----------3----2----| G |------3---------3---------3----------3---------| D#|----0---------0---------0----------2-----------| x4 A#|---------------------------------0-------------| F |------------3----------------------------------| C |--0-------------------3------------------------| Pre-Chorus (0:48) c |------3---------3---------3-----------3--------| G |------3---------3---------3-----------3--------| D#|----0---------2---------0-----------0----------| x2 A#|------------0-------------------------------0--| F |----------------------3-----------3------------| C |--0--------------------------------------------| Chorus (1:12) You can choose to follow the pattern or just strum the chords. c |------3-----------3---------3-----------3------| G |------3-----------3---------3-----------3------| D#|----0-----------2---------0-----------0--------| x2 A#|--------------0--------------------------------| F |------------------------------------3-------2--| C |--3---------------------0----------------------| Repeat all sections, then play the Pre-Chorus 4 times (3:00), then the chorus 4 times (3:48). I think it sounds best to strum the chords during the last chorus. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Guitar 3 Verse (0:00) Cm G# D# A# D#|---------------0--------0----------------------| A#|------5--------2--------0---------4-----2------| F#|------6---------------------------4------------| x4 C#|----6--------2------------------4--------------| G#|--4--------0----------2-------2----------------| D#|--------------------0--------------------------| Pre-Chorus (0:48) D#|------------------------0---------0-------------| A#|------5--------4--------2---------2-------------| F#|------6--------4--------------------------------| x2 C#|----6--------4--------2---------2---------------| G#|--4--------2--------0---------0---------2-------| D#|------------------------------------------------| Chorus (1:12) D#|------0-------------------------0---------------| A#|------0--------4--------5-------2---------------| F#|---------------4--------6-----------------------| x2 C#|-------------4--------6---------2---------------| G#|----2------2--------4---------0-----------------| D#|--0---------------------------------------------| Repeat all sections, then play the Pre-Chorus 4 times (3:00), then the chorus 4 times (3:48). I think it sounds best to strum the chords during the last chorus. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I know it is quite repetitive but it is a sort of bare bones song! These are the chords that I find work and sound the best! I'd love to see this song get more credibility since I think it is fairly underrated on the album. Bring on the YouTube Covers!
