I got the fuzz sound with an old ZOOM GFX707 played twice by overdubbing
So to play it we use :
- an overdriven guitar
- a clean guitar that replaces the first during the choruses
- an acoustic rhythm guitar
- a bass
- drums
To begin with the simplest the rhythm acoustic guitar plays only three basic chords :
E : 022100
A : 577655
B : 799877
Each chord begins with two downstrokes then you alternate upward and downward
strokes until the next change of chord. That is for the rhythm guitar! So I did
not tab it.
The overdriven guitar ( lead guitar ): you must find a good sound for it.
Then the point when playing those famous 3 notes ( B C# and D) is to control
the sustain : at times you produce two dry Bs , at others one dry B then a
sustained one. Always control the sustain on the D.
The bass : it enters at the third note. Each time the lead guitar plays B B it
plays E E but not simultaneously.
The clean guitar : I do not guarantee an extreme accuracy of the tab for that guitar
but it works. You shift between E and A while playing and leaving the rhythm guitar
fill the gaps.
All guitars tuned in standard tuning.
